About the play:
Written to mark the 150th anniversary of Elgar’s birth, Elgar and Alice is a gripping drama that transports us to the year 1920. As we are taken back in time, we have a compelling glimpse into the lives of Sir Edward Elgar, his wife, Alice and his mistress ‘Windflower’.
Set in their comfortable home in Hampstead, the play delves into a marriage that was anything but conventional, yet inspired a great composer to create some of the most iconic English music of the twentieth century.
Mind in Mid Herts aims to ensure that no one has to face a mental health problem alone. Last year we supported almost 2000 people, 60% more than before the pandemic. We support people through 1-to-1 talking therapies, peer support groups, online and in person courses and more.
Profits from the charity night go directly to Mind in Mid Herts. Our services are needed more than ever, so please help us continue to support your local community. Thank you.
