Mental Elf 2024 Raises Over £6,200 to Support Mental Health in Hertfordshire

Mind in Mid Herts hosted its annual Mental Elf 5K Fun Run on Saturday, 30th November, raising over £6,200 to support vital mental health services across Hertfordshire.

Held at Oaklands College, the event brought together over 60 people of all ages, donning festive attire, for a day filled with fun, community spirit, and purpose.

Festive Fun for a Good Cause

From fun elf costumes to festive tunes, the event offered something for everyone. Local performers The Ver Players and St Albans Rock Choir entertained participants with uplifting music, while The Barking Barista kept everyone warm with coffee and tea. Everyone enjoyed face painting by Glitter Me This.

Mental Elf is more than just a fundraiser. It’s about connection, raising awareness, and ensuring no one feels alone in their mental health journey

said Craig Fields, Digital Marketing Officer at Mind in Mid Herts.

The support and energy at this year’s event shows the incredible willingness of our community, to come together, volunteer, and support your local mental health charity.

Community Collaboration

The success of this year’s event was made possible by generous supporters like Summit Support LTD, whose fundraising efforts contributed significantly to the total raised.

We are proud to have joined Mental Elf again this year and thrilled to have raised over £1,000 for this great charity.

said Emily Russell, Summit Support LTD.

Mental health impacts us all, and seeing everyone come together for this event was brilliant.

Linda, Business Development Co-ordinator at Mind in Mid Herts, added:

Seeing the joy on participants’ faces made every moment of planning worth it. I am so proud of the runners, volunteers and Mind in Mid Herts Staff that made Mental Elf 2024 such a success.

Supporting Mental Health Services

The funds raised will directly benefit Mind in Mid Herts’ services, helping individuals across Hertfordshire access the support they need.
